Dumb and Dumberer

USA Today reports that the Dept. of Education paid Armstrong Williams, a radio show host and columnist, $240,000 to promote the No Child Left Behind program. In other news, the Administration will announce today the policy to secretly pay people to advocate for the government was the result of a different secret government initiative, the Hire Idiots to Work in Government program. I'm not sure who the bigger idiot is -- Williams for taking the money without disclosing it, or the responsible numbnut in the government for paying it.

Or, to put it another way, when no one, whether Democrat or Republican, whether left or right, has anything good to say about something, you can pretty much figure that something was very dumb.
